About Me
Atri Ghosh
Atri Ghosh
I am Atri. I am a neuroscience researcher pursuing my PhD at Center for Mind/Brain Sciences (CIMeC), University of Trento, Trento, Italy. I work on spatial and abstract navigation. I build biologically plausible computational models to understand these processess and test the predictions from these models experimentally on humans with fMRI.
Previously, I worked as a research assistant at the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences, Leipzig, Germany, where I studied the phenomena of remapping in place cells. Before that I worked as a research assistant at Charité Universitätsmedizin, Berlin, Germany where I did the setup for recording with Neuropixels© from the auditory cortex and insular cortex of rodents.
I hold a M.Sc. degree in Cognitive Science from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India and started my academic career as an engineer.
Trento is a beautiful place so you can often find me biking or hiking in the magnificient dolomities or swimming in one of the alpine lakes. Otherwise, you are welcome to challenge me to a game of chess or some mixed martial arts.
